MediGapByPhone, L.L.C. ("we," "us," "our") is an independent insurance practice operated by Stephen J. Barbé, based in Metairie, Louisiana. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the information you provide to us.

How we share information

We share your information only as needed to serve you. For example, with insurance carriers to obtain quotes and enroll you in coverage, and with the technology providers that operate our website, CRM, and messaging tools on our behalf. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the site and understand how it is used.

• Essential cookies — required for the website and its forms to function. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics cookies — help us understand which pages are visited and how visitors arrive, so we can improve the site. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
• Form and session data — basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the date and time of your visit.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell any information collected through cookies. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never collected through cookies or tracking technologies — they are collected only when you complete and submit a form.

How we protect your information

• Our website is served exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS/TLS connection, so information submitted through our forms is encrypted in transit.

• Access is limited to the licensed agent and authorized staff who need it to serve you.
• We retain personal information only as long as needed to serve you and to meet insurance record keeping and legal obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
• Our service providers are contractually required to safeguard the information we share with them and may use it only to provide services to us.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by applicable law. To report a security concern, email [email protected].

SMS and text messaging

MediGapByPhone, L.L.C. sends SMS text messages only to individuals who have expressly opted in. The only way to opt in is by submitting a request form on our website, such as the Roadmap to Medicare request form, and ticking the SMS consent checkbox on that form. Entering a phone number by itself does not opt you in. We do not obtain phone numbers from purchased, rented, or affiliate lead lists.

• Who sends the messages: MediGapByPhone, L.L.C.
• Transactional messages: delivery of the guide you requested, appointment confirmations and reminders, policy and renewal information, and replies to questions you send us.
• Marketing messages: Medicare planning tips and offers to book a no cost consultation. Marketing consent is collected on a separate, optional checkbox and you can accept one without the other.
• Frequency: message frequency may vary, up to 4 messages per month.
• Opt out: reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. We honor opt out requests immediately.
• Help: reply HELP for assistance, or email [email protected].
• Rates: standard message and data rates may apply, billed by your mobile carrier.
• Consent: consent to receive text messages is optional, is never required to submit the form, and is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.

Your choices

You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. You may opt out of texts by replying STOP, and out of emails using the unsubscribe link in any message.

Coverage is subject to carrier underwriting, approval, and the terms of the actual policy issued. You agree to provide accurate information and to use this site lawfully. SMS and text messaging terms

By submitting one of our request forms and ticking the SMS consent checkbox on that form, you agree to receive text messages from MediGapByPhone, L.L.C. at the number provided, including messages sent by automated technology. Providing your phone number by itself does not opt you in. Transactional consent and marketing consent are collected on two separate, optional checkboxes, and neither is required in order to submit the form.

We aim to provide accurate, helpful guidance, but we do not guarantee any specific rate, coverage, or outcome. Final coverage, pricing, and terms are determined by the issuing insurance carrier.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Louisiana.
